About the event

In this third camp-out as part of the C4RE (Caring 4 Refuge Ecology) partnership between Ecology Group and Queensland Trust for Nature we will be wandering amongst the blossoms learning about plants.  South-east Queensland's granite belt has some AMAZING plants, many of which are found nowhere else.  Amongst them are our old favourites like wattles, that this time of year will be out in all their glory.

This year we are surveying QTFN's own Aroona Station - a flagship cattle and conservation enterprise snuggled up at the end of the Little Liverpool Range.  The site is only accessible by invitation, and is a vital refuge for Brush-tail Rock Wallabies, Koalas, threatened granite-belt plants like the Bailey's Cypress Pine and threatened semi-evergreen dry rainforest.

Come along in the daylight for activities led by experts ranging from guided hikes to botanical drawing.  Then pitch your tent and camp out under the beautiful open skies of the Little Liverpool Range by night, hanging out by the fire enjoying a fully catered farm dinner.

This event is open to everyone from expert to amateur.  This is a family and LGBTQI+ friendly event.
